In the Bible, horses were primarily connected with battle and war. Because of their strength and swiftness, armies could easily overpower and conquer other armies. Their sheer power and fearlessness guaranteed victory. However, God warned Israel not to place their trust in the power of these animals, but to lean on His strength.
